Soltahr Tiv-Amanda, M.A., LPC

 

Is a graduate of the Transpersonal Counseling Psychology program at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She is a therapist in private practice and has taught at Naropa, CU Boulder and Regis University in Denver. Soltahr has been a priestess of the Goddess in the Earth Centered spiritual path for over 26 years. She is an ordained minister.

Soltahr has studied Shamanic healing techniques from a teacher of Hopi lineage, the late Moonhawk, and a trained Shamanic practitioner and retired Jungian analyst Terry Keepers.

As a priestess of the Goddess in Earth Centered spirituality, she facilitates solar, lunar, and public or private ceremonies. As an ordained minister, she is available to perform all inclusive weddings, birthings, passings, and other transitional rite of passage ceremonies.

She became a Reiki Master in 1994, is a teacher /practitioner and is empowered to attune others to all three levels of this ancient healing art.

Soltahr also acts as a consultant to various organizations and educational institutions around multicultural issues, as well as supervising other therapists to help them to provide culturally competent care for their clients.

My Philosophy of Healing:
In ancient times, there were sacred wells in many different lands where the people would come to avail themselves of the waters that flowed freely for their healing. These wells were also gathering places, where people would share stories of their lives and pass on knowledge of healing methods and find loving connection.

It is my belief that we are all filled with the vibrant energies of life, health and wholeness. There is an inner healer--a well of wisdom existent in each of us, overflowing with the desire to lead happier and more productive lives. I offer a compassionate heart and deep understanding of the struggles of life. I also offer hope. Hope in the notion that we can survive through the most adverse of conditions and thrive to become functioning, whole and strong.

My work is multi-cultural and liberation based, as I recognize the systems of oppression within our culture and how in order for any of us to be free, we all must be free. My desire is to help you to see the warrior strength inherent in you, as you have come to this point in your life. Together we will work toward helping you to move forward on your journey toward wholeness. From a Transpersonal perspective, I see all people as divine and sacred beings, and I see my work as sacred work. We are each body, mind, emotions and spirit, and I honor them all. I see this as sacred work. As a Psychospiritual counselor, I help you to answer questions about spirits, and other psychic phenomena that you may have experienced.

In these times we are faced with many challenges to our desire to lead health-ful productive lives. We are faced with stress, grief, loss, trauma, and many other forms of dis-ease that stand in our way to becoming all that we truly capable of becoming. We are also assailed by a world that is becoming more frightening, and need to find ways to inner peace and joy. It is my desire to help you to become more whole and more of the radiant being you already are.
